Charity Preview- Things I Know to be True
Written by Andrew Bovell & directed by Susan Geldart
Charity night to benefit the residents of Stella Maris, Cronulla. Stella Maris is owned by the Sisters of Mercy, Parramatta Congregation and their values of mercy, human dignity, justice, service and care for the poor underpins everything we do here at Stella Maris
Things I Know to be True authentically snapshots the ups and downs of Australian family life. In this case, the Price family. Dad, Bob Price, loves his garden and in particular his roses. Fran Price juggles her job as a nurse with keeping retrenched Bob in check, and being mum to four adult children.
When life doesn’t go according to plan, Fran and Bob find themselves entwined within a web of complicated family relationships, as each of their children expose an individual truth too raw to comprehend. The play is set in Hallett Cove, in the southern suburbs of Adelaide. It takes place over the course of one year.
