This year's Sports Breakfast will again be hosted by Roxie Bennett and features Geelong Football Club 2022 premiership player Gary Rohan as keynote speaker. They will be joined by a courageous individual who will share their personal story of loss and hope.
Your support of this event will allow Hope to continue to offer free information, support and counselling to bereaved people in the Geelong community, whether they are grieving the death of a baby or child, grieving the sudden and unexpected death of an adult or grieving after suicide.
Each year we help more people who are grieving, yet we receive no direct government funding. In the last financial year, Hope – together with our partners – supported 714 people grieving the loss of a loved one. This involved providing 1,563 counselling sessions, facilitating 83 bereavement support groups and joining with over 600 bereaved people to remember their loved ones at special events.
The Sports Breakfast is our major fundraiser for the year and we rely heavily on these events and the generosity of the Geelong community, as we endeavour to ensure no one is alone in their grief.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO YOU JOINING US!
