About

At 21 years old Charlie had her life set; a long term relationship, a university degree and a promising career. Charlie had completely fitted into the mould.
When her long term boyfriend ghosts her, she’s encouraged to confront her future with a therapist. Charlie’s therapist Maryanne holds a mirror to her life and Charlie is forced to question how much of her self image has been shaped by systems designed to categorise her.

‘Desirable, Considering’ is a one woman theatre piece that explores identity, feminism, disability awareness and the desire to be seen; without assumptions, pity or projection.

The staged reading at Next Wave will give the invited audience the opportunity to experience the work in its current stage of development and I would really value your feedback as an integral part of the process.

The reading will begin at 6:30pm, with a short Q&A and drinks to follow.

‘Desirable, Considering’ will be performed by Maya Dove, with director Belinda Locke facilitating the reading.
