THE WHALE
Written by Samuel D. Hunter
Directed by Geoff Brittain
7 - 16 November 2025
The Whale tells the story of a 600-pound obese man who hides from the world and stays in his apartment. Charlie cannot stop eating to the detriment of everyone around him, including his daughter.
Desperate to reconnect with this long-estranged daughter, he reaches out to her, only to find a viciously sharp-tongued and wildly unhappy teen.
Big-hearted and fiercely funny, The Whale is the story of a man’s last chance at redemption, and of finding beauty in the most unexpected places.
The 2022 Academy Award winning movie was adapted from the play.
