The North Bellarine Film Festival and the Bellarine Historical Society are presenting The Drover's Wife: The Legend of Molly Johnson as an annual fundraiser for the Society. The film will be screened at Indented Head Hall, 326A The Esplanade Indented Head at 2:00 PM.
The film tells the story of Indigenous woman Molly Johnson who lives with her children in an isolated location in the New South Wales Snowy Mountains in the late 19th century. But when an Aboriginal man on the run intrudes on the sanctuary she has carved out, the brutal hardships and secrets that have followed them both throughout their lives must be confronted.
