Dying to Know Day - Ballarat Central Library
About
Don't let your End-of-Life wishes be 'Unspoken' - Friday 23rd August‘Dying to Know Day’ is a free, National community event to prompt conversation around end of life wishes with the public participating as much, or as little, as you wish.
Grampians Regional Palliative Care Team & Partners will host two live performances of a creative, interactive piece provided by internationally acclaimed, physical theatre group ‘Born in a Taxi’ at Ballarat Central Library. The work 'Unspoken' was originally commissioned by Department of Health to engage community members to participate in end-of-life conversations. Bookings preferred for performance attendance.
A Death Cafe will be provided by Ballarat Cemeteries between performances at same venue. Death Cafe is a facilitated community discussion group, rather than a grief support or counselling session. Death Cafe provides a group-directed discussion of death - no agenda, objectives or themes. No booking required to attend Death Cafe.
