Under the Resilient domain of our Learning for Life framework, the first event in our new ‘Learning Together Events Series' is on Wednesday 12 June and looks at anxiety, presented by our friends at Anglicare.
During the day, students from Years 9 and 10 will participate in a workshop which will give strategies to manage and prevent anxiety, helping them to ‘stay steady’.
Our staff will also receive training after school and then our parents and community have the opportunity to attend an evening event where they will hear about how they can help their children to work through the same strategies and ideas.
A child's mental health and wellbeing impacts all facets of their life including physical, social, emotional, academic and spiritual development. As anxiety continues to rise as a significant issue for young people today, this is an opportunity not to be missed. Bookings essential. Light supper provided from 7pm.
