If you're called to protect others on their life's journey, defending every individual's right to follow their own path, their own truth, to find their own unique gifts and bring them into the world, you may be called to Vision Quest Protector. To be a Protector, whether it is for Vision Quest or any of a number of ceremonies of transformation, is to gently open the door for another, to guard it while they walk through, and to stand in the way of anything that would interfere with their journey.
