A special fundraiser movie screening event shining a light homelessness, followed by a Q&A with the director Catherine Hill, local MP Kate Washington and Yacaaba Centre Manager Louise Simpson.
Tickets are $30 and include the movie screening, Q&A, a glass of sparkling wine and individual cheese plate on arrival.
All proceeds donated to the Yacaaba Centre.
The Yacaaba Centre provides counselling support, information, and advocacy for clients in the Port Stephens area, enabling them to develop strategies to sustain physical and psychological wellbeing.
Some Happy Day is a social impact feature film shining a light on homelessness that aims to inspire change. It is a story about Tina, a homeless woman in desperate search of a better life who meets Frances, a social worker with troubles of her own. Over a single day their lives interweave, revealing unsettling connections that lead to change and redemption.
The film is rated MA15+ (strong coarse language)
Seats are not allocated so we recommend arriving early.
