Workshop: Summer Pruning your fruit trees
About
Experienced orchardist Katie Finlay, will facilitate a hands on workshop teaching on the practice of summer pruning. This intensive half-day covers the reasons why we summer prune and the basic principles of pruning deciduous fruit trees in summer. The first half will be theoretical and the second half will be in the orchard where you will have an opportunity to put the theory into practice alongside The Orchard Keeper team. There will plenty of opportunity for feedback on your technique.We will break in the shade for a delicious afternoon tea.
Please bring: Wear closed in shoes and bring hat and water, your own secateurs if you have them and there will be an opportunity to have them sharpened on the day.
