Growing delicious mushrooms is a fun and fascinating process, which we can't wait to share with you.
This hands-on, beginners workshop is a skill-sharing lesson, which will demonstrate how easy it is to grow fresh produce with a low budget, a limited space and in an urban environment.
As a participant, you will take home:
- Your own mushroom growing kit (prepared during the workshop)
- A better understanding and confidence for growing mushrooms at home
- Connections to other Melbourne growers around!
Following the workshop, we will enjoy a light lunch of a variety of oyster mushrooms on (sourdough or gluten-free) toast in Kensington Stockyard Food Garden.
Fresh oyster mushrooms will be supplied by Melbourne Mushrooms Urban Farmers.
