Weave & Feast with Bare Weaving and Bush Grazing
About
Ingrid from Bare Weaving (Nambucca Valley) will be guiding us through the process of creating a basket using the technique of twin strand free weaving.
We will be using natural materials that Ingrid has sourced from the bush in various natural colours.
All materials supplied. Please bring a cushion for comfort as we will be sitting on the floor (there are chairs at the venue if this is uncomfortable for you).
A shared lunch will be provided by Nambucca Valley's 'Bush Grazing' with lots of locally sourced yummies. Please let us know when booking if you do or don't have any dietary requirements.
**Please Note** If you came to a previous weaving workshop with Ingrid at The Shed, then Ingrid will focus on helping you to build on your skills from a previous session
Ingrid is a fibre artist from the North Coast of NSW. Ingrid has been mentored and deeply inspired by Yolngu Master Weavers in Arnhem Land for over 12 years. She is passionate about deeply connecting her workshop participants to the ancient tradition of women’s weaving.
