January Flute Camp
Coordinated and led by Suzanne Cowan, and with the support of tutor Sue-Ellen Monaghan, students will be able to attend a 3-day workshop on the grounds of Wollongong Botanic Garden.
Students will learn how to play in an ensemble, working on staying together, matching note lengths, blending sounds, and improving pitch. For the Senior Ensemble it will be a chance to learn repertoire for the new year.
The workshop will also include a master class with Patrick Brennan, musician, conductor and artistic director of the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music, who will focus the students on intonation, blend, balance and musicality.
This Workshop is open to anyone - you do not need to be a WollCon student to attend.
You do need to have your own flute and be able to play at a beginner level.
