A great cathedral of light: remembering Maria Yudina
Modi Deng is a pianist and writer from Aotearoa New Zealand. Since her concerto debut at 11, she has performed at Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Wigmore Hall, and given performances broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and RNZ Concert.
She makes a return to Tempo with a recital celebrating Maria Yudina. One of the great twentieth-century pianists, Yudina was drawn to huge, architectural works and the divine.
