Nama Rangachari - Again, again
'A Caterpillar has slid into my ear
intent on weaving a cocoon in the depths of my skull.
Growing strong, feasting on my runaway thoughts
It leaves behind a husk of technicolour silk,
And a moth Dances within the margins'
'Again, Again' explores the musicality of nature in a dwindling ecosystem, as our psyche has learnt to anticipate the threat of unprecedented catastrophes. It begins with the birth of a caterpillar and ends with a moth's roaring dance among flickering lights, as it comes to understand the immense change it has overcome and the wings it has grown in the process.
In Nama Rangachari’s original work, ‘Again, Again’: saxophonist Lachlan McGargill comes from Adelaide to perform alongside Georgi Lewis (piano), Ceridwen McCooey (cello), Jake Hammill (drums) and Nama Rangachari (double bass, guitar).
