In our 2023 Easter musical offering, Canticum Chamber Choir and a specially selected string ensemble perform James MacMillan’s powerful Seven Last Words from the Cross. This spellbinding and expressive work conveys Christ’s final utterances, combined with other liturgical texts. MacMillan (b. 1959) is widely considered to be the pre-eminent Scottish composer of his generation.Join us on Wednesday 5 April at 7.30pm or Good Friday 7 April at 5.30pm to hear this striking masterpiece in the glorious acoustic of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Given Terrace, Rosalie, Brisbane.
It is expected that these performances will be General Admission. Canticum Chamber Choir diligently follows government health advice regarding Covid, and will contact patrons in the event of any changes.
