Unique Baroque
About
Exhilarating works by JS Bach, Vivaldi, Handel and more – arranged for piano akkordeon and harpsichord. This rare combination of two very different instruments creates excellent baroque chamber music. And you will hear it in just the right venue.Baroque composers did not write for the akkordeon. But it is an admirable instrument for this style of music. It integrates well with the harpsichord, playing the part of the violin, flute, clarinet, cello, gamba and other instruments.
The Courtroom, Gunning's Home of Chamber Music, should be ideal for this exciting, expressive and enjoyable music.
Gunning has all the makings for a delightful afternoon out. This little village is within easy reach of Goulburn, Yass and Canberra. It has three good cafes for pre-concert dining and art, craft and antique shops within an appealing historic streetscape.
