Fiat - A Weekend of Prayer

This Lent, the parishes, communities, and movements of the Archdiocese are invited to join in a weekend of communal prayer coinciding with the feast of the Annunciation. Commencing at 6pm on Friday, 24 March and culminating at 6pm on Sunday, 26 March, this 48 hour of prayer promises to be a moment of grace for the local Church, as together we meditate on Mary's fiat, her total yes.
In ways that are familiar to your local communities, you are invited to commit to at least one hour of prayer across the weekend and, as a local community, reflect on what Mary's example means for us as individuals, as local communities of grace, and as the local Church of Melbourne.
To assist us in sharing what is happening in parishes around the Archdiocese, once your local community has decided on its time of prayer, you are asked to register. This information will be shared on melbournecatholic.org, and resources to help promote the weekend among your people through your parish bulletin and online will be distributed closer to the weekend.
