Veterinarian Dr Mark Hynes will be conducting this workshop explaining how you can apply First Aid to sick and injured dogs.
We will look at the signs and symptoms of the most common issues vets see with dogs and what to do in each situation such as:
  • Handling an emergency
  • Handling distressed animals
  • Signs of shock and assessing the patient
  • Pain
  • Snake bites & other bites and stings
  • Control bleeding & bandaging
  • Fight wounds
  • CPR
  • Fractures
  • Choking
  • Poisoning
  • Heat stress
  • What to do if a dog is hit by a car
  • Burns

Location: Immaculate Heart of Mary School Hall, at the corner of Edge Ave and McCann Cres, Lenah Valley (Entrance 55 Edge Ave).
