David Cherry is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist who has worked as a psychologist and trainer for over 40 years.He has a great deal of experience in working with adults who are troubled by issues relating to depression, anger and anxiety as well as working with children, adolescents and families.
This webinar is for anyone who may have potentially difficult conversations with clients, work colleagues, service providers, or other members of the public.
The training will cover how to structure a difficult conversation and find a positive purpose; the importance of empathy and when not to empathise; keeping the conversation on track; using language that does not create resistance; recognising when not to have a difficult conversation and how to leave a conversation that may be unhelpful; gaining agreement with the other party (where possible) and; making a plan for the future. Delivering difficult news will also be discussed.
