Eating Disorders & PTSD
About
Eating disorders are mental health concerns which can be associated with severe physical health consequences. People with eating disorders also often experience comorbid mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, personality disorders and experiences of trauma. The symptoms of starvation may further exacerbate these mental health difficulties, and managing medical risk can be challenging for clinicians. This presentation will cover evidence-based treatment for eating disorders and co-occurring conditions. It will also discuss interventions to support clients who present with eating difficulties and traumatic symptoms.
This presentation will be suitable for any clinicians who would like to know more about working with eating disorders and posttraumatic stress disorder.
