The brainchild of bassoon dynamo Matthew Kneale, this ensemble and program have been years in the making. Beethoven‘s Gassenhauer Trio is beloved for its exuberance, energy and tongue-in-cheek wit.
TRIFORCE (a name from deep in the inner workings of boss oboist Rachel Bullen) pairs it with selections from Bach’s Two-Part Inventions for piano and as oboe/bassoon duets. Alongside these, gems from 20th C France draw from sound worlds of old.
