Bluegrass Junction play the History of Bluegrass
Join us for a journey through the history of bluegrass music, as Bluegrass Junction delivers two sets of high-energy, lively tunes that’ll have you clapping your hands and shouting “yee-haw!” And don’t worry about finding a drink – there will be a licensed bar on site for your convenience, so you can kick back and enjoy the show.
With over two decades of experience playing together, Bluegrass Junction’s Trev Warner (a Hall of Fame inductee and three-time Australian bluegrass banjo champion), Nick Cawthorne, Geoff Bridgland, and Stephen Loss (plus occasional guest John Bridgland on mandolin) have an unparalleled chemistry that makes their live performances truly unforgettable. You won’t want to miss this!
Trev Warner is a true bluegrass and country music legend, and Adelaide's very own pioneer in the genre. With over three decades of experience under his belt, Trev has become a household name in Australian bluegrass circles. He's a Hall of Fame inductee and three-time Australian bluegrass banjo champion, and has even won two Golden Guitar Awards for best original instrumental. While Trev's talents on guitar and banjo are undeniable, it's his fiddle playing that truly sets him apart from the rest. And as a bonus, he's also a skilled Dobro player. |

Nick Cawthorne is one of the most seasoned guitarists and singers in Australia, and he's been playing bluegrass and country/blues music since his teenage years. Wielding a vintage 'cannon' guitar made by his late friend Brian Degruchy, Nick's playing is a throwback to the classic, traditional sound of the genre. |

Geoff Bridgland is a straight old-style bluegrass player with a passion for the genre that spans over five decades. He's heavily influenced by the likes of Earl Scruggs, Doug Dillard, and JD Crowe, and is also a talented Old-Time fiddler. His harmonies join those of Trev, Nick, and Stephen in a way that completes the band's classic bluegrass sound. And, when it comes to twin-fiddle tunes, he and Trev have a long list of favorites that always get the crowd going. |

Stephen Loss may be the newest member of Bluegrass Junction, but he's no stranger to the genre. With a passion for bluegrass music that began 15 years ago, Stephen quickly became a multi-talented instrumentalist, with a particular skill for bass, guitar, and mandolin. His contribution to the band's sound cannot be overstated, filling out the bottom end with his driving bass and lending his voice to all singing parts, from high tenor to bass. |
