Lampshade workshop for Home exhibition

Diane Dwyer, from Kogarah’s Southern Antiques store, will host a creative workshop demonstrating how to make your own custom lampshade. Enjoy a glass of wine while you create your own unique piece to take home!Be inspired by Hurstville Museum & Gallery’s c.1920s lampshade currently on display as part of the ‘Home in St George 1920-1960’ exhibition.
What you need to bring:
• A piece of fabric that goes along with the rest of your furniture/ home decor (25cm rings will be used during the workshop. You will need a fabric that is a minimum 81.5cm wide and at least 30cm of fabric.)
• Sharp scissors (preferably dressmaking)
• Tape measure
• Rotary cutter if you have one
Everything else is provided, including detailed, printed instructions.
Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive further information on choosing the fabric you need.
