6th June was the 79th anniversary of D Day, the Allied Invasion of Normandy. This momentous event generally focuses on the exploits of the Americans and British, however Australians were also there. One small squadron of Spitfire Fighter Pilots.
David Leith, Russell’s son, will tell of their breathtaking memorable experiences.
Some funny, some sad; including being shot down and captured by the Germans, his escape and rescue by the French Resistance.
Registration via trybooking is essential. (Bookings must close 20th July @ 5pm)
You will be met by the Concierge on ground floor who will direct you to the appropriate floor.
Please order your meal on arrival and then you will be seated where the speaker will be located.
