About
Learn more about key word signing and how it can help your child with Down syndrome communicate in the early years and beyond.In this workshop you will:
find out the features of sign production
learn how to produce signs
be able to identify key words to sign in a spoken sentence
have the opportunity to practice using speech and sign
This workshop will include morning tea and lunch - please advise of any dietary requirements.
Unfortunately, there will be no childcare available. Young babies are welcome but we recommend that toddlers and older children do not attend.
This workshop is part of a National Information Program run by Down Syndrome Australia and funded by the Australian Government through the Information Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) Grant program.
