Shiori Ningyo: Japanese Paper Doll Workshop - Sat 5th August (SOLD OUT)
Discover the wonderful art of Japanese paper doll making and create your own unique piece using Chiyogami. Chiyogami is Japanese paper with traditional Japanese crests and patterns resembling kimono and used in paper doll and accessory making.
Shiori Ningyo is a type of Japanese paper doll and translates to 'bookmark doll' because of its flat appearance. After we make the paper doll, we will frame it into a cute paper frame to make it into a piece of art!
From learning how to craft a basic Shiori Ningyo to creating your own unique art piece, get inspired by this rare and delicate art form from Japan's rich history.
All materials will be provided, no experience is necessary and all ages are welcome!
(*Please note we will use scissors)
