Our AGM is followed by a discussion by Anne McConnell, principal Consultant of Anne D McConnell – Cultural Heritage Management, Archaeology and Quaternary Geoscience of the cultural landscape values of Cambria & how it can be protected.Cambria is considered one of the most important historic estates on the East Coast. The house was built for George Meredith, a person of significance in the colony of Van Diemen’s Land. Documented planning for the house and garden began in at least 1830. The proposed Cambria Green, a mega 3,000 hectare development, is currently under planning consideration.
