Tartuffe by Moliere
Torquay Theatre Troupe is staging Tartuffe by Moliere, who in 1664, when he wrote it, was considered to be the French Shakespeare and like Shakespeare the play can be set in any era, Director, Zina Carman, has decided to set it as a modern day circus family.
It is a comedy around hypocrisy and morals and to fit with the theme we will be having some circus performers starting the show before going into the play as written.
PLEASE NOTE: We encourage COVID-safe practices including masks, hand-sanitising and physical distancing
