Guest Speaker: Professor Velandai Srikanth
Professor Srikanth is the Director of the Ngarnga Centre - the National Centre for Healthy Ageing, and his presentation will cover some of the research being conducted there and the risk factors and mechanisms underlying dementia.
Professor Srikanth is a Professor of Medicine, a practicing Specialist Geriatrician, and the Director of the National Centre for Healthy Ageing, based at Peninsula Health Frankston Hospital Campus. The Centre aims to conduct research that will transform the landscape for health related to ageing and draws on a close partnership between Peninsula Health and Monash University. Professor Srikanth is a resident of the Peninsula and is invested in developing areas of research that deliver benefits to the Peninsula and have the Peninsula experience influence national approaches to health care. |
