Fresh from their Grand Prize win at the 2023 Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, in which they also won the Audience Prize and the Robert Salzer String Quartet First Prize, Melbourne’s own Affinity Quartet performs a new program at Tempo Rubato for one night only.
Straddling the 18th and 19th centuries and composed less than 10 years apart, Haydn’s Emperor and Beethoven’s 2nd Razumovsky Quartet capture the creative explosion of the Golden Age of the string quartet.
