Why They Stay | Live Performance
About
Someone New Theatre Company is proud to present our November production, 'Why They Stay' by Sindi Renea. In a story that goes untold far too often, this new dramatic production is an emotional piece exploring domestic violence, and the manipulation and tactics that are used to stop victims from leaving abusive relationships.
Performances will be held at Eastern Hub Geelong from 2nd to 12th November.
Please note that this production is restricted to adults (18+) as it contains depictions of domestic violence and abuse (physical, mental, verbal and sexual), coarse language, alcohol consumption, discrimination, miscarriage, and death. It incorporates simulated acts of violence with sound (self-harm, strangulation and choking, slaps), simulated blood and bruises, and sudden loud noises (raised voices, objects being thrown).
