FHRI Fund October 2023 Open Day
About THIS EVENT
The next WA State Government’s Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Fund Open Day will be held on Tuesday 31 October 2023 at Edith Cowan University (ECU), Joondalup Campus, JO B32 Lecture Theatre.It is an opportunity for the research and innovation community to hear about exciting WA health and medical research and innovation developments as well as information about FHRI Fund programs available in the November cycle and recent FHRI Fund recipients.
The event will be coordinated by the WA Department of Health’s Office of Medical Research and Innovation (OMRI) in partnership with ECU.
The theme for the event is 'Precision Health' which aligns to FHRI Fund strategic objectives and is a strategic focus area of the WA Health and Medical Research Strategy 2023-2033. Precision health offers the promise of moving from a 'one-size-fits-all' approach to more effective, personalised solutions to improve the health and well-being of individuals.
The event will feature presentations from the Hon. Stephen Dawson MLC, Minister for Medical Research; FHRI Fund Advisory Council Members; Professor Simon Laws, Associate Dean (Medical and Exercise Sciences), Professor of Translational Genomics in the School of Medical and Health Sciences and Director of the Centre for Precision Health at ECU and other prominent speakers from ECU and the WA 'precision health' research and innovation community.
We encourage participation on the day, either in person or online, however a recording will be made available on the FHRI Fund website following the Open Day.
Attendance may be in-person or online as per details below. Further event related notifications including the online link will be sent closer to the date.
In-person attendance
This session will run from 8:30am to 12:30pm.
A registration and networking session will run from 8:30am to 9am and light lunch will be provided from 11:30pm - 12:30pm with the opportunity for further networking.
Online attendance
This session will run from 9:00am to 11:30pm
