Pavanes and Passion, a program of gorgeous music with four saxophones as you've never experienced before. With Ravel's stunning Pavane pour une infante défunte, combined with Fernande Decruck's original Pavane for Saxophone Quartet. A new version of César Franck's Prelude, Fugue and Variations and the heartrendering Elegy from Shoshtakovich' Lady Macbeth. All Combined with the passion ánd lightheartedness of 3 movements from Bernstein's West Side Story.Come and join us for the Australian Premiere of the Australasian Saxophone Collective. Four leading saxophonists get together for one weekend to share music and knowledge through workshops, rehearsals and one concert at Yarragon Studio. Simon Brew (NZ), Jay Byrnes (Orange NSW) and Gippsland's finest, Sara Beale and Niels Bijl join forces in a program filled with their favourite works for saxophone quartet.
