Wild Calling

ABOUT:
Wild Calling is a 1-2 day workshop that offers space to switch off, slow down and come home to your true nature.
Come for a day or spend the weekend and fully immerse yourself in deep nature connection, embodiment, ceremony and ritual.
This workshop is part 1 of a 3-part rewilding series which explores our connection to nature and our wild, primal self.
It marks the beginning of a journey, where we learn the skills and gather the resources needed for part 2 - a solo quest in wild nature!
Note - If a solo quest has been on your radar, I highly encourage you to attend this workshop first!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
On Day 1, we explore what a ‘wild calling’ means to us individually and as a collective.
We begin to attune to nature through sensory awareness, animal forms, bird language, sit spots and tracking.
And we explore how nature supports the nervous system - increasing our capacity to deal with the demands of this world.
During the day, you'll be given opportunities to spend time in the places that call to you – the forest, creeks, mountains or rivers.
Those who choose to stay for the weekend are invited to bring a tent or swag and camp on the land.
Day 2 will begin early with a sacred ceremony at dawn – and for the brave ones, a swim in the river!
This day is dedicated to exploration – an opportunity to deepen your practices and reflect on what's been calling you.
You'll be guided to create your own ceremony and rituals which honour your connection to nature and your wild self.
And you'll be invited to sit in sacred circle and be held and witnessed in sharing your experiences.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Wild Calling was created for those who yearn for some time and space to come home.
It’s for those who give their all – to their children, their family, their friends or colleagues – but find it hard to give back to themselves.
It’s for mothers, care-givers and space holders that yearn to spend time in nature – but can never find the time to get out there.
My intention is to create a space in which you feel deeply held and safe to explore your wild calling.
ABOUT YOUR HOST:
Hello, I’m Lara. I’ve been facilitating workshops in rewilding for the past 3 years.
I’ve trained and studied in deep nature connection, shamanic healing, intuitive plant medicine, energy medicine, sacred ceremony and nervous system regulation.
Moving to the Thora valley marked the start of an apprenticeship with nature, with the land I now know as ‘Gumbaynngirr Country’
I’ve been blessed to learn with some incredible teachers and mentors - Kate and Sam at Nature Philosophy, Tom Young, Steve Serr, Asia Suler and Kate Schubert.
More recently, I've also sat with some beautiful members of our Indigenous community - learning through deep listening.

A FINAL WORD:
A few words on here won't even come close to the deep gratitude I feel for our Indigenous community and all First Nations people.
I wish to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land I live and work, the Gumbaynggirr people.
I acknowledge the essential part they play in healing and regenerating country - country which was never ceded.
I pay my respects to the elders - past, present and emerging - and I offer my thanks for the stories, wisdom and knowledge that's so generously been shared.
As a non-indigenous Australian, I'm deeply grateful to call this land my home and I endeavour to continue learning, growing and dreaming of a better future for all.
