How product design drives strategic choices
Join Edith Cowan University for the final event in the 2023 ECU Lecture Series.Professor Peter Galvin’s presentation will focus on how a business’s design of products and services has direct implications on how that business and subsequent industries, are designed and operated.

- Development costs for new products
- Potential for geographic agglomeration versus dispersion of economic activities
- Level of competition between firms and thus the profitability of firms within an industr
The presentation will highlight the opportunities and challenges that emerge from alternative product designs and highlight why product design is an underappreciated consideration in developing business strategy.
Professor Galvin is the Associate Dean, Research, and a Professor of Strategic Management at ECU’s School of Business and Law.
