Presented by SCBWI Tasmania, Stephanie will talk about the pitfalls and pleasures of researching and writing creative nonfiction historical titles, such as her Heritage Heroes series, as well as nonfiction picture books based on Australia’s environment and the fabulous creatures that inhabit it.Dr Stephanie Owen Reeder has worked as a teacher, a librarian, an editor and an author. She has produced over 20 books for children and has won the NSW Premier’s History Award, the CBCA Children’s Book of the Year Award for information books, and the CBCA Laurie Copping Award for Distinguished Service to Children’s Literature.
