Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD: Research Update
About
Dr Angelakis is a Clinical Psychologist who is devoted to educating people on the impacts of trauma. She will be providing an update on the latest research in relation to Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Dr Angelakis holds adjunct status at Flinders university. She is a fully accredited provider, trainer, and supervisor of CPT, working with professionals in Adelaide, Melbourne, and the United States.Dr Angelakis’ work primarily focuses on the treatment of PTSD in those who have experienced prolonged and severe trauma. She has worked extensively with a variety of populations including those who have experienced child sexual abuse, sexual assault, or domestic violence, victims of crime, front-line workers, victims of war crimes, cult victims, refugees, and torture victims. She currently works as a clinical psychologist, and the clinical coordinator for PsychMed’s group program for the treatment of PTSD. Dr Angelakis regularly provides workshops and training.
