The Roo Theatre Company is proud to present, by arrangement with David Spicer, J.M Barrie's Peter Pan.
Peter Pan was written by Scottish playwright J.M. Barrie and first produced in 1904. It was a great success both in London and in New York City, where it opened in 1905 with the American actress Maude Adams portraying Peter. Barrie later expanded and adapted the play into the novel Peter and Wendy (1911).
Peter Pan tells the story of Peter, a mischievous and eternal boy who can fly and never grows up. He invites Wendy, John and Michael Darling, as well as Tinker Bell, to join him on an adventure to the enchanting Neverland, where they encounter pirates led by the infamous Captain Hook, mermaids, and the Lost Boys. As they navigate this fantastical world, they learn about the power of imagination, the importance of friendship, and the magic of staying young at heart. Peter Pan celebrates the spirit of childhood and the belief that dreams can come true.
With Book and Lyrics by Peter Denyer, and Music by Barrie Bignold, Peter Pan is sure to delight audiences young, and young at heart.
NB: This production is scheduled to start at the advertised time. There will be a LOCKOUT period for late comers.
