Whilst the focus for 2023 was on traditional orchestral concert repertoire, 2024 will investigate the cinematic musical cosmos of John Williams via one of his most engaging scores - Star Wars.The uniqueness of this series lies in the way music is experienced through an interactive and multi-modal experience in which rigorous analysis/synthesis of the musical concepts gives way to a series of fun creative activities. Students will listen to, think about and discuss the music, respond to it kinaesthetically, conduct it, improvise to it, and finally create a whole-group composition in real time for a live orchestra to play.
Bookings are now open, offering three distinct sessions specifically curated for Stages 2-3, Stage 4 and Stages 5-6.
