Year to RISE Showcase
About
Flinders Year 9 cohort invites parents, families and members of the Sunshine Coast community to a Flinders Year to RISE showcase of student work and presentations on Thursday, 23 November.
This is the first year that the Year to RISE program has run and the event is an opportunity to celebrate student development in creativity, critical thinking, communicating and collaboration throughout the year.
The culminating project is a student-driven challenge where students are able to choose the problem to respond to, and the way in which they respond. Year 9 students were posed the following question, ‘How can we as stewards of the future, pitch a viable response to address a real world problem?’. Students were given three weeks to create a response to this question, and the products of this response will be showcased at this event.
