The STAT Model: Reducing waiting for outpatient services
About
An online workshop for health professionals working to improve access to ambulatory/ outpatient services.Managing waiting time and long waitlists is a common problem for many health services. The STAT (Specific Timely Assessment and Triage) model has been developed to re-think how referrals and patient flow are managed in high demand, non-admitted, services. STAT provides an alternative for intake and service provision. Multiple studies, including a large NHMRC-funded trial, have shown that STAT can lead to reduced waiting times and improved access to services. For more information about STAT visit our website www.the statmodel.com
