Lisa Lerkenfeldt presents Halos of Perception
Lerkenfeldt introduces electroacoustic techniques of refraction to explore the acoustic mirror on ‘Halos of Perception’. Flickering piano, tape delay systems and their spatialised distortions unfold in repetitive motifs on ‘Limestone'. In ‘Cobwebs' she constructs a hallucinatory web of echoes.
'Halos of Perception' is produced by Shelter Press (France) in LP edition + digital with a poem by the artist. The work has its premiere at Tempo Rubato on 29 February with support from special guest Jasmin Wing-Yin Leung.
Limited album merchandise in collaboration with visual artist André Piguet will be available on the night.
Written and recorded on unceded Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung country, Summer 2022.
