Copperplate Etching
About
Develop and print your own etching in this one day workshop.This is a beginner or refresh course covering:
- Preparation of a copper plate
- Drawing, tools & techniques
- Etching in an acid bath
- Printing on a printmaking press.
Below are some examples of plates and the prints made by participants. You will take home a series of your own hand pulled prints.
We finish the day with an informal debrief and chat hour (4-5pm), about all things art, (weather permitting in the garden).
Bring your own lunch on Saturday. Tea, coffee and snacks provided.
Please note: toilet is only accessible via stairs.
