Talk and Walk: Dandenong Park and Heritage Hill Gardens

Join our walk to learn the story of the trees in Dandenong Park. Proclaimed a park in 1872, from the late 1870s it was a shady retreat to enjoy sport, music, and recreation. The walk will be approx 1 hour duration, at a steady pace with time to ask questions and enjoy the park. On returning to Heritage Hill the 140 year old National Trust Heritage Tree listed Moreton Bay Fig trees and Kauri tree provide the foundation for the wonderful gardens surrounding Laurel Lodge and Benga.Council Garden staff will explain their ongoing maintenance and care of these gardens to ensure they maintain their historic integrity and charm. Following the garden stroll a delicious afternoon is provided. Please note that there is an incline on this walk
