- Join the Adelaide Chapter of the Art Deco & Modernism Society of Australia for a walking tour of the Art Deco & Modernist architectural delights of Port Adelaide. Art Deco was a global design phenomenon in the years between WWI and WWII & influenced everything from architecture, transport & industrial design, to art & fashion. We know Port Adelaide for its colonial architecture - but did you know there are many fine Art Deco & Modernist examples also? Find out where they are with guidance from the Society, understand their story & enjoy a walk while doing so.
