DUALITY: A Double BillYEARS 10 BALLET, 11 DANCE, BALLET & CERTIFICATE III AND 12 DANCE, BALLET, CERT II & CERT IIIThis performance is a celebration of 20 years of the John Curtin Theatre. In homage to the theatre we are revisiting old works that have been performed here in the past, both works have had an impact on dance. Les Sylphides was the first ballet to be simply about mood and dance form, it was modern for its time and created new traditions. A System to Secrecy uses modern movement to reflect on old traditions and rituals. The performance is a contrast of two styles, contemporary and ballet but whilst they are in contrast one paves the way for the other. VENUE:
