HISTORY
In 2009, following the closure of Marist College Rosalie, a group of five Rosalie old boys, four of whom had sons attending Marist College Ashgrove, decided to provide a playing strip for the Ashgrove 1st XV to be worn once a year in trial games played by the college.
The first jersey, which continued for three years, was a cerise, blue and gold hoop design. Later designs incorporated the cerise and blue colours with gold numbering. In all, three different strips were purchased by the old boy’s group, until, in 2019, the Rosalie Old Boys Association took over the organising of the strip.
The first Rosalie jersey to be worn by Marist College Ashgrove 1st XV was in 2010 against Toowoomba Grammar at Suncorp Stadium in a curtain raiser to the Reds Super Rugby game.
