Soulful, poetic, searching, driven, irresistible songs: the joyous hits Moondance and Brown-Eyed Girl, the rock anthems Gloria and Domino, and the inspired ballads Into the Mystic and Astral Weeks. Now, the Perth ten piece band Essential Van celebrates the work of the great man in a dynamic show bringing you your favourite Van Morrison songs, plus some rarely heard treasures of the Van songbook.
Led by saxophonist Marcus Boon and featuring singer Alec Coles, Essential Van fills the stage with spirit, energy and good times inspired by performances at the Montreux Jazz Festivals. As Van himself says, “That’s art, man.”
