Join us for our May weaving workshop as part of our monthly explorations into First Peoples weaving. This month, Tania Rossi (Yorta Yorta, Wiradjuri), will be introducing us to a form of loom weaving to make a dance belt or narrow band of weaving. Using a simple loom made of repurposed timber and nails we will experiment with different materials, such as jute and raffia, to create our warp and weft.- All tools and materials supplied.
- Light catering provided.
- Free but bookings required.
- This is a workshop suitable for adults and kids 8+
- Any kids must be supervised and assisted by an adult.
- Fine motor-skills required.
